OBSERVAÇÕES:

a. O negativo de can é cannot (sem separar can de not), no entanto, a forma negativa mais comum de can é a contraída can't.

b. Não há forma contraída para may not.

c. A forma interrogativa se faz colocando o verbo modal antes do sujeito, à semelhança dos demais auxiliares.
